Aim and Scope: International Journal of Synthesis and Characterization (IJSC) welcomes original contributions of scientific research in all branches of the synthesis of organic, polymer and inorganic chemistry. In additon, the characterization of organic, polymer, bioorganic and inorganic compounds is also in scope of IJSC.
International Journal of Synthesis and Characterization is published by Research Science Press. The Journal is devoted to the chemists from various areas of research including organic and inorganic chemistry, organometallics, organoheteroatom, medicinal and biological chemistry, photochemistry, polymers and others. International Journal of Synthesis and Characterization publishes the synthesis and characterization of both organic and inorganic compounds. This Journal (IJSC) covers synthesis of new compounds, new methods for preparation of known compounds, new experimental techniques and procedures, characterization of chemical compounds in all branches of science.
The journal is of interest to researchers at both scientific and research institutes, as well as the academic and research staff of universities.
The following categories of papers are open to submission: "Original Papers" present original work in full detail. "Reviews"present a general survey of an outstanding subject in pure and applied chemistry. Book Reviews are prepared at the invitation of the Book Review Editor.
In all submission to the journal, authors must address the question of how their proposed study compares with previously reported studies. Reviews are normally written by prior agreement of the editors. Reviews should provide the reader with expert opinion regarding the relative merits of the various published approaches to the topic under review.
Audience: All disciplines related in synthesis and characterization in chemistry and other disciplines in academic institutions, industry, independent laboratories and consulting firms.
Instructions for Authors
Manuscript Submission: Manuscripts are accepted for review with the understanding that the same work has not been published (except as an abstract, or as part of lecture, or academic thesis), that is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and that its submission for publication has been approved by all of the authors and by the institution where the work was carried out. With their submission, authors may preferably suggest three potential reviewers together with their e-mail addresses.
Manuscripts should be sent preferably in electronic form by e-mail to ydilgin@gmail.com. Manuscripts by post mail are also accepted. Two hard copies of manuscript together with electronic file in floppy disk (word format) should be sent to the following address:

Manuscript Preparation: Manuscripts must be typewritten in English on white A4 standard paper, double-spaced throughout, on one side of the page only in a legible font. Manuscripts should be prepared carefully in accordance with the following points to allow speedy publication.[*Internal Error: Invalid file format In-line.WMF*]
Language: Manuscripts must be in clear and grammatical English language.
Copyright Transfer Statement: Manuscripts must be accompanied by the Copyright Transfer Statement (the form is regularly published in this journal). The copyright covers the exclusive and unlimited rights to reproduce and distribute the article in any form of reproduction(printing, electronic media or any other form); it also covers translation rights for all languages and countries.
In the manuscript preparation, the order below should be followed.
Title: All manuscripts should be headed by a concise but informative title followed by the names of the authors and the address of the laboratory wher the work was carried out. The author to whom correspondence should be addressed must be indicated by an asterisk.
Abstract and Keywords: All manuscript begin with an Abstract (100-200 words) which should comprise a factual account of the contents of the paper, with emphasis on new information. The abstract should be followed by 4-6 keywords.
Introduction: The manuscript should be continued with introduction which should include the aims of the study and results from previous notable studies.
Experimental: The experimental methods should be given after the introduction section. Detailed experimental descriptions should be restricted. However sufficient detail should be given to allow any experienced worker to implement the procedures described.
Results and Discussion: The results obtained should be given in this section. These results should be discussed without unnecessary repetition.
Acknowledgements: The acknowledgement should be given as short as possible.
Citations: Citations in the text should be by refrence numbers in paranthesis.
Refrences: Refrences should be given at the end of the paper, numbered in the order of their appearance in the text. Refrences should be typed on a separate page. Atleast, titles of first-three authors should be written. Every refrence listed must be cited in the text. Refrence numbers in the text are set in parenthesis on the line. The following refrence forms should be adopted.

IUPAC Rules: IUPAC rules must be used for designating chemical compounds.
Quantities and Units: Quantities and units must be designated using SI units whenever possible. The metric system is to be used. Concentrations should be given exclusively as mass or amount-of-substance concentrations(for example: ng mL-1, ng g-1). The use of ppm, ppb, ppt, volume and weight percentages etc. is to be avoided.
Figures and Tables: All figures(Photographs, graphs or diagrams) and tables should be numbered with Arabic numerals and have brief descriptive headings; they should be typed on separate pages after refrences. Figure parts and footnotes to tables should be identified by lower-case roman letters. The same data should not be given in both tables and graphs.
Proofs: Authors should make their proof corrections on a printout of the pdf file supplied, checking that the text is complete and that all figures and tables are included. Corrected proofs should be returned to the sender (publisher or editor) without delay.
Corrections: If errors of consequence are found in the published paper, the corrections should be sent by the author to the editor for publication in the "Additions and Corrections" section.
