In recent years mathematical and statistical methods become more and more important for studying complex biological phenomena. The policy of the ‘International Journal of Biomathematics and Biostatistics” is to offer a forum of high quality research papers in this field. Topics of interests include but are not limited to dynamical systems models, numerical methods, stochastic models and statistics with applications in population dynamics, ecology, epidemiology, physiology, biotechnology and bioengineering, etc. Papers focusing on new mathematical and statistical methods for applications in biology and papers describing new findings in biology based on advanced mathematical and statistical methods will be equally considered.
Submission of Manuscripts: Papers to be considered for publication should be submitted by e-mail (preferably) to messoud.efendiyev@gsf.de in form of a single PDF, postscript or TEX/LaTex attachment. Alternatively, papers may be submitted by post to
Professor Dr. M.A. Efendiev
Department of Dynamical Systems, Institute of Biomathematics and Biometry (IBB)
Helmholtz Zentrum Munich, lngolstadter landstrasse 1, D-85, 764 Neuherberg, Germany
E-mail: messoud.efendiyev@helmhoItz-muenchen.de
Each manuscript should contain a short abstract of not more than 250 words and also at least on primary classification number from the American Mathematical Society’s 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification Scheme. Author are encouraged to use LaTex to prepare their papers. After the refereeing procedure the Editor-in-Chief will send a message to inform the corresponding author about the acceptance or rejection of the paper.
Illustrations: Text figures must be suitable for direct photographic reproduction and must be supplied separately from the text but allocated clearly to sections of the text. Originals of figures should not be sent until the paper has been accepted. A list of captions for figures should be attached separately.
Proofreading: Prior to publication sets of proofs of each paper will be sent to authors. For papers with mole than one author the proofs are sent to the first named author unless the Editors receive other instructions. Authors are asked to correct and return proofs promptly
Proposing Special Issues: From time to time Guest Editors are invited to produce Special Issues consisting of three or more articles grouped around a common theme. Proposals for Special Issues are welcome, as are Guest Editorials and Announcements.
