Indian Journal of Millennium Development Studies is a Bi-annual (March/September) peer referred journal that networks between research and policy in social development. Its aim is to inspire the policy makers with policy-focused dimensions and debates on addressing poverty, alleviation of sufferings and achieving sustainable development in this millennium.
IJMDS invites contributions from various disciplines across the developing and developed countries. Preference will be given to articles that identify the unresolved development issues and tries to establish links between theory, research and practice.
Paper should be original contributions, not published or under consideration elsewhere. The preferred length of article is 7000 to 8000 words followed by 100 to 150 words abstract. Submissions should contain full contact address, including phone and email details, of the author/corresponding author in case of joint authors. Submissions received will be acknowledged immediately by email and editors will make a decision within three months from the date of receipt of the paper. All papers are fully referred before acceptance. Authors receive one complementary copy of the issue in which their article appears. Additional copies and reprints will provided on payment.
Style of the Article: Two sets of hard copies along with IBM formatted 3.5 floppy have to be submitted. The articles should be typed (MS Word) on one side of the A4 Size paper and double-spaced. Alternatively it is always appreciated if the articles are sent to through email.
References are to be embedded in the text in the anthropological style e.g. (Chen, 1999). Citations should be first alphabetical and then in chronological order e.g. (Alensina 1999); Chen, 1999; Walter 1998. Examples of the detailed style to be followed are:
