Intangible Cultural Heritage: Revitalizing Tribal Dance Forms of Western Odisha

Every society has different types of cultural traits and dance forms as their cultural identities. Western Odisha a house more than 40 tribes is the center of folk culture and tribal dance. In the last few years many of these tribal dances are in the verge of extinction or in changes, which is an important pardigm in the vulnerably of tribal identity. In this book, the Centre of Excellence Regional Development and Tribal Studies, Sambalpur University funded by the Odhisha highe Education Programme for Excellence and Equity. Government of Odisha and World Bank studied the four important Tribal dance forms such as Karma, Dalkhai, Dhap and Madli for its documention and preservation for the future generation.
