Impact of Irrigation on Agriculture

Phrase creation of water, needs to be more than the 'Saving of Water' in the world today. The successes of Israel is in their skill of creating water sources .The Modern methods have proved that a one liter of water can produce 100 gram agricultural produce. The traditional methods of irrigation reduce it to 10 gram. The traditional modes and excessive uses of fertilizers have reduced the rate of the agricultural production. Agriculture is the back-bone of Indian economy and it is the life line of Indian people. There are rarely 18 % irrigation facilities in India, so it is urgent need of development in the irrigation system in India. The present book contains an analytical study of impact of irrigation on agriculture in Western Maharashtra. The focus of the study is on responsible factors for minor, major and small irrigation projects and land use and cropping pattern, sources of irrigation.
