India is the largest producer of Arecanut in all over the world. Shivamogga district has considered as highest producer of Arecanut. In this study arrivals, annual sales per quintal, price per kg, market price (minimum, maximum, average) and value of arecanut in Tumkur district focused. The preparation of Arecanut with little bit tobacco referred to as paan. It is available in every market place and is sold in pouches called 'Pan Masala' or supari as a mixture of many flavours whose primary base is arecanut crushed into small pieces, Pan Masala with a small quantity of tobacco is called gutka, panmasala, panparag and there are various companies related to gutka, panmasala and panparag engaged in manufacturing and selling of the same and doing business. This project report deals mainly on the Marketing of value added products of arecanut in Tumkur because it has its impact on the demand for arecanut, price behavior of arecanut, demand for arecanut industry. Arecanut industry is facing problems, because of the fluctuations in demand for value added products of arecanut is facing various problems like production, marketing and sales promotion, competition and so on. This research study relay upon Primary as well as Secondary data. Primary data collected with the help of Interview schedule.100 samples selected randomly for the purpose of study. Secondary data collected with the help of National and International journals, periodicals, reports, Annual reports and Arrivals and sales of Arecanut in Tumkur Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee etc. Analysis made with the help of averages, percentages and arithmetic mean to get the meaningful results. With the help of this research study, it is possible to know about the socioeconomic conditions of sample respondents, it is possible to examine the demand and supply of panparag, panmasala and gutkha. It is possible to bring price stability in panparag, panmasala and gutkha. It is possible to introduce tobaccoless value added products of Arecanut. It is possible to safeguard the interests of Arecanut growers.
