Towards Stronger and Sustainability of Self Help Groups in South Asia

This book is a relevant topic, from an academic and especially from a practitioner's point view. This book brings out that the economic service quality is very an important for the sustainability of SHGs in South Asia. Many NGOs have developed a large number of SHGs in South Asia but the sustainability of SHGs is questionable. But this book states that the economic service quality is mediating factor for the sustainability SHGs in South Asia. The authors have imperially studied from the central district of Tamilnadu. The findings reveal that the economic service quality is mediated for the sustainability of SHGs. The Government of Tamilnadu implements various social & economic programmes through SHGs (for example AMMA Mess, AMMA Pharmacy shops & AMMA water) for the development of society.
