Basaveshwara Philosophy (1140AD-1196AD) : Socio-Economic-Political Ideas and New Social Order

started working on this book under the influence of my late father, Sri Jadi Chokkaiah, who was an ardent believer of Veerashaiva Philosophy. I strongly think that my father's principles of casteless and classless society, gender equality, and rational thinking made a path into my mind since my childhood, and thus, it immensely motivated me to write this small book on Basava Philosophy to give a kind of enlightenment to people who are suffering from various social barriers. 

 

I hope this work undoubtedly could not have been possible without the help of my family members - my wife Mrs. Jadi Janaki, my sons Jadi Sri Harsha and Jadi Harshith - who have been a constant source of support, and also provided a friendly environment and allowed me to writing this book. And especially I should be thankful to my brothers (Prof. J Narasimharao, J Koteswararao, J Ramanadham, J Madhavarao and J Devendra Vara Prasadarao), their constant support achieving my academic goals during the career.

 

I want to heart-fully thank my philosopher guide and friend, Dr.Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Member of Legislative Council in Telangana State, Chief Whip of TRS Legislative Party and Generel Secretary of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party, who standby the principles of casteless and classless society. This apart, he also influences me to uphold the same and he has been immence support throughout my academeic career. 

 

And, I wish to express my gratitude to my senior colleague, Prof.Kancha Ilaiah, a social reformistic philosopher, for encouraging and advising me to pen a piece of information on Basava's Philosophy. I would also like to extend my gratefulness to my other colleagues - Prof.K.Srinivasulu, Prof Naidu Ashok Prof.D.Ravinder, and Prof. M.Channa Basavaiah, - who are the believers and followers of revolutionary path, for their inspiration, encouragement and cooperation in bringing out Basava's Philosophy.
