Rural Development Programmes in India: Effectiveness and Evaluation is an edited book consisting of the selected papers presented in the UGC Sponsored National Seminar held in Pingla Thana Mahavidyalaya in the month of November, 2016. This book will throw light on the achieve-ments and failures of rural development programmes introduced by the Government of India in different five year plans and also will focus on the alternative measures that have been taken and can be taken by local administrative bodies, NGO's and general people.
