The Poverty Panorama

Poverty eradication is one of the major talking points in most developing countries. Microfinance has been a revolutionary concept in the field of poverty eradication in the Asian countries of the Indian sub-continent. Bangladesh and India have done a great progress in moving towards their respective poverty eradication goals in the last decade. Poverty numbers have fallen unprecedentedly by almost a third in a span of only ten years. Apart from Microfinance the book also focuses on the main poverty reduction scheme run by the Govt. of India. the SGSY. and its progress in the state of Haryana. The book also offers some suggestions to further streamline the process of poverty eradication based on the research by the author in Haryana.
