Dr. GN Reddi : The Doyen of Rural Reconstruction

The present book entitled ‘Dr. G.N.Reddi: The Doyen of Rural Reconstruction’ is a memorabilia of Dr. Reddi’s contributions to the field of rural reconstruction in India w.p.r. to Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.  The book contains about 53 articles, which are written in multilingual by Academicians, Social activists, Public leaders etc. Of these, four articles from abroad, about 20 articles from the academicians, 20 from the social activists and others include Government functionaries, IRRM heritage partners, former colleagues, admirers, and friends.  Besides the articles, about 40 short messages written by the public leaders and social activists as reflections from the field and are arranged in 46 Screens/Shorts.  The information relating to the approaches/ strategies, programme details, inspirational quotes, which are arranged in 26 ‘Blocks’.

The book also contains 10 published articles under ‘Organizations founded and their accomplishments’, which are collected/extracted from different sources. The other useful information is arranged in 12 Appendices, which helps the reader to understand thoroughly. The present book is a useful for the people working in the field of rural development, students studying in the social and developmental studies and the youth, who are interested in bringing changes in the outlook of the rural areas.
